Cupcake Delights


Time for some more cupcake making using my trusty traditional vanilla cupcake recipe as a base before the decorating fun can begin...
 Cupcakes
50g unsalted butter at room temperature
50g caster sugar
1 medium egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
50g self-raising flour
-Cream together butter and sugar until pale then add the egg and vanilla extract and beat until combined.
-Sift the flour and fold into the mixture, until smooth.
-Spoon the mixture equally between the cupcake cases and bake for 8-10 minutes (in a cupcake maker) -When risen and golden in colour turn on to a wire rack to cool.


After seeing the Mulberry SS12 collection it got me inspired by Spring (a little early I know) so thought I would bring in the pastels and get floral with some sugar dough designs on a base of glace icing a simple mix containing icing sugar and water. Not to forget the hundreds and thousands and silver balls...LOVE <3
